Single storey barn conversion
Greenwood Barn was originally built as a donkey stable and storage barn, not that you would know it!
It is been converted to a fabulous, comfy, cozy space.
Lots of quirky reclaimed materials were used in the conversion:
There is a pillar from a medieval barn; a ceiling beam from a railway signal box; a vertical beam from a medieval barn; light fittings and hall floor tiles from a French brocante; large, chunky hardwood window sills; and even some reclaimed doors and fittings.
For your comfort, there is underfloor heating throughout, a log burner and some new Simba mattresses.
The lounge/diner area has double patio doors with windows over and to each side (almost a glass wall) so is light and airy, as well as being a large, practical space.
Within walking distance
2 dog friendly pubs, including:
The Lighthouse Inn is 10-15 mins walk (0.75 miles/1.25 km) via the quiet lane opposite
[or 1.2 miles/1.9 km miles via the field, after a 200m section along the quiet Mill Common Road]
The Walcott Dog Park is at the end of the lane opposite.
The Walcott (to Happisburgh) 4.5 mile National Trail circular walk can be accessed near The Lighthouse Inn.
The local beach is just 10-15 mins walk to toes on sand (also 0.75 miles/1.25 km) via Mill Common Road, giving access to the Norfolk Coast Path
There's a dog friendly fish and chip restaurant and a dog friendly cafe (with ice cream bar in the summer) on the seafront, just 1 mile walk away (1.6 km). Plus one of two local shops.
In the other direction (also 1 mile) a dog friendly vegan cafe, complete with dogs allowed sofas. Cafe Carmel is popular with vegans and non-vegans alike.
